Which Path Are You On?
“I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference”
At some point in our lives we have to decide which road we are going to take. Are we going to take the road that is wide that many have traveled? This is the road that we believe will give us the freedom to do and be whatever we want. The only consequences are the ones we make for ourselves. We are the masters of our own universe. Truth is whatever we interpret it to be. My truth may not be the same as your truth. There are many ways of being enlightened. It doesn’t matter what faith or religion we are a part of because we all becomes spirits one day that will be part of the cosmos without end. There is no right nor wrong in sexuality. We only judge ourselves. A loving God would not judge us because of how we are born and how we chose to live our lives. As long as we are basically good people and don’t hurt others we will be fine now and forever. Marriage is not defined by a man and woman. It’s whatever our love chooses it to be. No one has to be married to have sex anymore. Abortion is ok because it’s our bodies and our choice. No one has to continue to be the gender they are born with. Women can marry women and men can marry men. Anyone who says otherwise is a bigot and a hater. You may say, “Don’t throw your Bible scriptures at me.” “The Bible is old, dead and doesn’t signify anything in our modern world anymore.” You think that society needs to wake up and “get with the program”. God is whoever we decide He is. There is no judgment nor Hell. You may feel that choosing the road more traveled by is the truest and most loving road to travel.
What if you decide to take the road less traveled? Get ready because this is a hard road. It is not easy like the well-trodden road. There will be obstacles, thorns and accidents. You may trip and fall but you can get back up and on the path again with Jesus’ help. People will despise you and throw their words at you like stones. You believe that Jesus is The Way…The Truth…The Life. There is no other way to God except through Him. You believe that if someone calls on Him and believes in Him, they will have everlasting life. You believe that marriage is between a man and a woman. Homosexuality and gender changes are abominations to God. Abortion is sin because life is sacred. You believe that the ones who have taken the wide road have fallen for Satan’s many deceptions. He was a liar from the beginning. He took what was beautiful and sacred and changed it into a grotesque distortion of what God created the world and us to be. You know you are in a fallen world—a world that is decaying along with everything in it. Death is a spirit that has been allowed to take over. However, you know that Jesus has overcome Death. He has the keys to Heaven and Hell. He has won! You don’t see it yet though because you still live in this broken world. You know that you are an ambassador for Christ. You try to break through the thorns and hedges to reach to ones on the wide road and bring them over to your small road which leads to salvation in Jesus. Some are saved. Some are not. You know that their road only leads to Death and your road leads to Jesus and life. You know that you are not truly free until you can be who your are in Jesus—the you who God created you to be. We all have a God-shaped hole in our hearts that only He can fill. This is a hard and difficult road. But at the end of this road there is joy, happiness and love beyond compare. This road leads to the kingdom of Heaven. The last will be the first and the first will be the last. This is the road less traveled—and it will make all the difference!
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
